Joshua To Face Povetkin in September

Britain’s Anthony Joshua will look to defend his unified heavyweight title against Russia’s Alexander Povetkin when the two meet in a title fight this September. The fight will be held in Wembley, which has a capacity of 90,000.

The unbeaten champion has had 21 fights, 20 on them coming by way of knockout.  Where as the bull like fighter Povetkin, has had only 1 professional defeat in a one sided fight against the heavy handed Vladimir klitschoBoth fighters are former Olympic heavyweight gold medallists.

This fight will definitely be Joshua’s hardest fight yet, not because the Russian is amazingly strong, but the Russian if as tough as a bull and can definitely take a punch, this will be a test of Joshua’s skill and courage to the max.

AJ is ranked number 1 in the world and UK heavyweight boxing standings. Povetkin is ranked third in the world and 1st in Russian heavyweight boxing standings.
